EstruPAD. New structural design app for tablet and/or smartphone

The new structural design program EstruPAD is now available for both iOS and Android.

• It designs certain steel structure typologies according to the Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE).
• Loads can be generated according to the CTE or by entering the values for each load case.
• In-plane buckling of the portal frame is calculated internally based on the geometry and the loads.
• In the transverse direction, the buckling length coefficient is 1 for columns and 0.3 for rafters.
• Lateral-torsional buckling, in both columns and beams, must be defined by the user.
• The permitted deflections for columns and rafters are the usual ones and are entered internally by the program.

This program is a reduced version of the steel structure design software Metalpla, with which all the values the user wishes can be modified, including the option to define semi-rigid connections in members and foundations.
